Director of Coaching
John Regan has coached top-level youth soccer in Georgia for over twelve
years. Since beginning to coach soccer in Georgia, his teams have
reached eleven state semi-final games, six finals, while winning
four titles. He has coached in over 100 prestigious tournaments
facing world powers C.F. Monterrey, U.N.A.M. Pumas, and Tigres from
the Mexican professional leagues, as well as Tauichi Academy of
Bolivia and Frankfurt from Germany. He has coached more than 80
players that have gone on to play in college, with national team
programs and professional teams both in the US and abroad. A former
professional player and college standout at Georgia Southern University,
John received the Georgia Youth Coach of the Year honors in 2000.
He holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, USSF B License, and
is a Georgia ODP staff coach in South Georgia. Regan moved to Thomasville
in January 2003 from traditional powerhouse United Quest Soccer
Club in Atlanta. John was hired by TASA to oversee the Academy,
provide continuing education to coaches, develop a training curriculum
for select teams, and manage the clinics and camps.
